Η Σωτηρία Στράτη γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στη Θεσσαλονίκη, όπου ζει μέχρι σήμερα. Είναι Τεχνολόγος Τροφίμων με μεταπτυχιακό στη Διοίκηση επιχειρήσεων. Είναι παντρεμένη και μητέρα δύο παιδιών. Ασχολήθηκε με τη γευσιγνωσία οίνων και τροφίμων, τόσο σε σεμινάρια όσο και στην καθημερινότητα, λόγω μιας έμφυτης ανάγκης αναζήτησης στον κόσμο των γεύσεων. Είναι η δημιουργός του blog «the toothpick» (sotiriastrati.blogspot.gr), ενώ έχει γράψει έναν οδηγό κρασιών με τίτλο: «Πώς να “σκοτώσετε” τον sommelier σας» (εκδόσεις Ζήτη). Πιστεύει ότι στη ζωή πρέπει να δουλεύουμε και να απολαμβάνουμε εξίσου. Sotiria Strati was born and raised in Thessaloniki, where she lives till now. She is a food technologist and holds a MSc in Management. She is married and mother of two. She worked on food and wine tastings, in seminars as well as in a day to day basis, due to an internal need to search the world of flavors. She is the creator of the blog “the toothpick” (sotiriastrati.blogspot.gr), and she is the author of the wine guide “How to ‘kill’ your sommelier” by Ziti publishing house. She believes that in life work and fun should be equally enjoyed.
