This Convention covers only any sale of products via the website www.thermaikos-books.gr. Any deviations from this Convention must be confirmed by IANOS S.A. Any other Terms and Conditions shall be expressly excluded. Any user entering and using the services of the electronic store shall be deemed to consent and unreservedly accept the conditions set out here, without exception. If a user does not agree to these terms, he or she must refrain from using the electronic store and from any transaction with it.
Sending your order will imply acceptance of this Contract and all its terms.
1. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for selecting a Product and its suitability for their purposes.
2. Orders
Orders must be received in writing online by completing and sending the relevant Order Form available on www.thermaikos-books.gr. Your order is considered received by IANOS S.A. once you have received an update to order status. Orders status updates appear on the user’s screen and are emailed to the user’s online contact address. During processing each registered order, the inventory availability of the products ordered is also confirmed. If the availability or delivery time differs from that indicated on the product page, an update shall be obtained. The prices quoted for the various products on the website include legal VAT.
The prices of the electronic store may change at any time without notice. “Web Price” means that the product concerned has a different price if purchased through the electronic store than the one at which it is currently available from the IANOS physical shops. IANOS S.A. it bears no liability and does not cover price differences for products purchased from a IANOS S.A. physical store. and the customer subsequently identified a lower price in their online store or vice versa.
The various product offers are valid until stocks are exhausted. In case of low/limited availability of product stock offered by IANOS S.A. it reserves a reasonable right for orders to be executed on the basis of the satisfaction of as many customers as possible, i.e. orders registered by different/separate users.
IANOS S.A. endeavor to provide you with daily high quality services and in good faith, is not responsible for and is not bound by any errors in characteristics, photos and product prices listed on the www.thermaikos-books.gr website and cannot ensure that there are no errors from any cause when importing and/or updating the characteristics and/or price of a product.

IANOS S.A. provide the user with the ability to order the products available through the electronic store and to take the products from any store maintained by IANOS S.A. in Greece. In particular, the customer may select through the electronic store the product(s) he/she wishes and the specific store (from the existing list on the website of the IANOS S.A. store network from which he/she wishes to receive his/her order, by paying the price of his/her purchase electronically at www.ianos.gr or in cash, when the products are received from that store, which he/she will have already chosen. This possibility is provided if the customer is a registered member on the IANOS S.A. website, so that he has already provided the information necessary to identify him (ex. name, e-mail address, telephone)
3. Order Cancelations
Cancel your order at any time before it’s complete by calling +302310 221113 for the rest of Greece and Abroad and at +302103217917 for Attica or at the email customerthess@ianos.gr for the rest of Greece and Abroad and customeranthens@ianos.gr.
Depending on your order progress stage, we’ll let you know what options you have.
4. Order Delivery
The products can be shipped to you anywhere within Greece. The products will be sent to you at the location you indicated on your courier Order form. Shipping costs are € 2.50 for the entire Greek territory (including VAT) for each net value order up to € 25, while the exchange service costs € 1 extra.
For orders with a net value of more than € 30 here is no freight charge.
IANOS S.A., subject to condition 1, will make every effort to ship the products to you within 1-3 working days (Monday through Friday). For products not labeled “Readily Available” and provided they can be ordered by IANOS S.A. suppliers delivery time is approximately 3-20 business days (Monday through Friday) depending on the product category.
5.Warranty
IANOS S.A. does not guarantee protection for third party products (products not manufactured and/or assembled by or on behalf of IANOS S.A., which IANOS S.A. simply resells). For such products you will be guaranteed directly by the manufacturer or the licensee. IANOS S.A. does not guarantee protection for the suitability of a sold product for any particular purpose.
6. Force Majeure
IANOS S.A. is not responsible for delays in execution (including delivery) due to circumstances that cannot be attributed to IANOS S.A. liability or are due to force majeure and will be entitled to an extension of the execution time. Examples can be strikes, acts of terrorism, war, supplier problems /transport /production, exchange rate fluctuations, government or legislative acts and natural disasters. If such incidents last for more than 2 months, this Convention may be terminated by any party without compensation.
7. Product Returns – Consumer Rights
You have the right to return the products you have bought, without delay and without having to tell us why you wish to return the products, within 15 calendar days of the date you receive the products. In this case, you will be charged only with the direct cost of returning the products. Refunds will only be accepted if the products you wish to return are in the same condition as you received them, i.e. without their packaging being unsealed or broken, together with the retail receipt or invoice.
Refunds shall be accepted provided that:
– You have contacted our online store on the same day or the next business day.
– The products are in the same condition as you have received them, i. e. they have not been unsealed or their packaging has been broken.
– The product is accompanied by the retail receipt or invoice.
In order to request you to return the products you have purchased from our online store, you must notify us in writing at customerthess@ianos.gr or customerathens@ianos.gr
on the subject of “Application for a Product Return” with a date/market document number and the reasons for the refund within that time limit. Provided that you receive written return authorization from IANOS S.A., the address at which the products must be sent for return is: Aristotle 7, 54624, Thessaloniki, Greece.
To avoid any inconvenience, check carefully at the time of delivery your order the status of the products sold and the intact packaging to determine whether there are any obvious defects (e.g. broken goods, etc.). In the event of a defect, please contact our online store immediately after delivery on the same day or the next business day at +302310 221113 or at customerservice@ianos.gr.
In order to remedy defects or deficiencies in agreed properties in the species sold, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply. In order to be considered as a registered property, it should be certified as such by both parties in writing.
In the event of a refund, and depending on the way you chose to pay for your order and the way in which your refund will be effected, your money will be reimbursed within 30 days of the date on which we receive the products.
This Convention shall not affect any consumer rights provided for in the legislation.
8. Amendment of the terms of this
IANOS S.A. reserves the right to amend or renew trading terms and conditions. The modification or renewal will take effect from the time this text is updated for any change.
If any part of this Convention is found to be void or inapplicable by a court order, the remainder of the Convention shall remain in force. IANOS S.A. may conclude an agreement to delegate its obligations to an appropriate third party. Otherwise, no Party shall be entitled to assign or transfer its rights or obligations. All notifications must be made in writing (by hand, by e-mail, fax or by first class e-mail, considered as delivered 48 hours after mail).
9. Applicable Law – Jurisdiction
This Convention shall be governed by European and Greek law, in particular legislation regulating matters relating to electronic commerce, distance selling and consumer protection, and shall be the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thessaloniki and Athens.
